WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

A Democrat sure never would!!
I got this great e-mail tonight and oh, yeah. I'd give a lot to see this happen.

My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed. Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.

A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change.

Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.

Oh, by the way, the United State s is abrogating the NAFTA
treaty -- starting now.

We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska - which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come. If you're an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there. They care.

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, "darn tootin."

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won't forget.

To the nations on List 2, a final thought: You might want to learn to speak Arabic.
God bless America. Thank you and good night.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier.

I have a few more suggestions, but this would be a great start.

Of course I won't ignore your comments, Kitty. I read liberal AND conservative blogs and value the opinions of all, as I value your opinion.

I disagree that the Bush administration is the monster you seem to think it is. You speak of hunger and Bush has done a lot for the poor. My retarded 40-year-old son's annual income is less than $12,000 a year and yet because of a Bush program that makes housing affordable for the poor, he was able to buy a house last year.

The administration's environmental program is a realistic one that acknowledges the problems we face and proposes serious solutions. Fortunately for us all, he recognizes that global warming is not caused by man but by natural forces and isn't going down that fictional brick road.

Turns out the WMD did exist, after all -- they're beginning to find them remade into roadside bombs. You must have missed those reports because only Fox reported them. And the European presses.

Don't worry about Bin Laden -- we will catch him. It's a little hard right now because he's in Pakistan but we'll flush him out sooner or later.

Three of my family members have served in Iraq and every one of them has come home to tell what a great people the Iraqis are and how they appreciate all we're doing for them. We're building a fine new society for them and they are doing their part, as well. Iraq is something America can be proud of.

Reality doesn't bite half as much as the fiction liberals insist on placating themselves with. With all the evidence before you, it's hard to believe that any thinking person could actually believe the propaganda the msm and the Democratic Party assault us with.

I'm glad they do, though. It makes it so easy to decide who should run this country! That, of course, is anyone BUT John Kerry, a Clinton, Al Gore, John Dean, a Kennedy or John Edwards.

Well Sunnye T, I'm disappointed to hear such naive comments come from someone who has so much to gain from a president that is not a neocon war monger.

You're right, there are certain government programs that aid the severely disadvantaged, such as your son. However, these programs have lost nearly half of their funding in the last four years. Your son is one that is lucky enough to make the stringent standards for help; but what about the other 40 million Americans that can't afford health care let alone housing because of the Administration's policies.

Bush's environmental program is disgusting. The only one that exists denies all science that would impose restrictions on large, old-money industries. It's true that global warming is a natural phenomenon, however, there is also ample evidence that humans have done their fair share. I guarantee those nasty brown clouds over cities area result of poor environmental management.

On Kitty's Alaska comment: You're right, Alaska will be dry in no time. The world consumes 90 million barrels a day of oil, that's 1 billion barrels every 11 days. Alaska's reserves are between 8 and 13 billion barrels. Hmmm...that's between 88 and 132 days of oil. Or, between 400 and 600 days worth for only the US demand.

What's funny about the WMD is that the UN was monitoring them, and then we invaded, and now the materials are lost. The Americans lost the weapons, but they weren't even WMD, they were high tech conventional weapons. There has been very little discovered that would account for Iraq's WMD. In fact, the US soldiers are using a napalm substitute on the insurgency and even utilizing depleted uranium shells - which severely contaminate the environment. So, not only did we sell Saddam the nerve gas that he used on the Kurds, but we are now importing more WMD into the country.

On top of all this, you claim that we're creating a great society in Iraq. I might be inclined to believe that if the Administration just once mentioned the words civil society or nationalization of Iraq's resources...alas, this is a war over resources and America is staking its claim for them (we are in a massive geopolitical push for the remaining oil resources). We don't give a shit about the people of Iraq, unless our benefits spill onto them. Just take a look at the water infrastructure in the country...or the hospitals or schools. All these things that would make it easier for Iraqis to turn away from terrorism and towards justice have been undermined, yet the oil infrastructure is doing quite well. Is there a discrepency here, I think so.

Oh yeah, Bin Laden is in Pakistan because we supported him and his organization for decades (until '96) through the Pakistani intelligence (ISI). The American taxpayers funded his training and assisted him in all aspects of his 9-11 campaign. I wouldn't be shocked to know that we're still supporting him, or that we allowed 9-11 to happen. People (like you) tend to ignore the fact that we've killed over 100,000 Iraqis in two years, without contempt for international standards or laws.

You sure are ignorant to think that America's problems would be solved if we just left everyone else alone except for the A listers. I'll tell you what, Poland has nothing to offer us for our economy except a strategic location to bolster America's military overseas which of course is what you want to get rid of. Think about your idiocy here. Be a realist like your Bushy mentor, and understand the world is integrated and interconnected.

I read your comments and it depicts someone that is afraid to look at the truth in the world, America's hideous history in the world particularly the Middle East, the fact that there are greater agendas that transcend all press and combine to form a strategy that will only hurt those who are deployed to "defend freedom". Just wait for the draft. There is no American media outlet that will tell you the whole truth. And you're right, John Kerry or HOWARD Dean would have made the situation worse. That is because they are all apart of the same unjust aparatus. You're blind faith in the honesty of the leaders of the government and the market make me laugh at the terrifying awakening that you'll soon begin to understand. Then you'll wish you had decided to learn more about other cultures and promoted a policy of peace, not violent ignorance. Let the debate continue, you need to learn more.

J, your disappointment breaks my heart. You wrote: " Your son is one that is lucky enough to make the stringent standards for help; but what about the other 40 million Americans that can't afford health care let alone housing because of the Administration's policies."
The 40 million Americans you speak of can all take advantage of the USDept. of Agriculture program for low-income individuals to purchase homes. The only restrictions are those of income -- must be below the poverty level -- and the home must be in a rural community. My son is lucky only in that he has parents who will take the trouble to find such help for him.

On the health issue -- he has no health insurance besides Medicaid, which is available to all indigent and disadvantaged people.

You really don't know what you are talking about! After 40 years of fighting for rights for the disabled I can assure you that I DO know the issue.

You are completely wrong about the present environmental programs. My husband is a retired NASA scientist who has done ample research into global warming. There is NO credible evidence determining that it is caused my man. And those brown pollution clouds you see are as much YOUR fault (if you drive a car) as anyone elses -- and they have nothing to do with global warming.

No one knows how much oil is in Alaska and offshore in Alaska -- certainly you and Kitty don't -- because exploration has only scratched the surface. You're believing the MSM again.

What kind of propaganda have you been reading? What a bunch of lies. We have never sold nerve gas and are not trafficking in it now. More of your Dem lies.

Yes, we are HELPING THE IRAQIS create (we're not doing it alone) in Iraq. If you haven't heard the President talk about democracy there or the fact that we have been counting on the Iraqis using their own oil to build their economy, you just haven't been listening. Or at least listening to hear what was said rather than to only what you want to hear.

Yes, we made the mistake of supporting a long string of dictators in countries all over the world and what we got for that was people who hate us in spite of the fact that we have paid money and all kinds of aid into their countries for years. We seem to have learned that lesson and now we're trying something else since the result of being the world's Nice Guy was an attack on us on our shores.

Don't you think it's rude to come onto MY blog and call me ignorant? That's just bad manners. Don't you have a Mother? Didn't she teach you how a guest is supposed to behave?

Now, please point out where I said America's problems would be solved -- by anything. I am twice your age, child. I've lived more and seen more than you will for a lonnng time and I know that nothing ever solves all of anything's problems. To do so would create a horrible existence; thank God that isn't possible.

Now . . I will leave your insults on the blog because, frankly, that kind of behavior doesn't hurt me at all. It simply shows both a lack of manners and lack of viable arguments when you resort to those kinds of insults.

But if you continue to post obscenities and insults on MY blog, I will delete your posts and refuse to answer you.

Intelligent discourse progresses with a mannerly exchange of facts and opinions. That I am willing to do. I will not stoop to your level by calling you names and cursing at you, though.

Sunnye T,
I love it! I love the political banter and to the point arguements...it is what is missing from the MSM (which I don't watch, at all). There is much missing from the MSM, and some of that can be recovered in the blogsphere with the ability to state one's opinions. I must apologize if you felt that I questioned your knowledge of the disability issue. I try to not place that at the forefront of the healthcare issue, one because it transcends basic health care issues, and two, I may try and be empathetic, but in reality, my experience is very limited. I admire you and all that you have done for your son and I'm sure for the disabled in general.

You are right, actually you are probably three times my age, after reviewing your website, but please do not call me a child. I have a college degree in Political Science and I work for a non-profit that provides sustainable economic development to the disadvantaged in rural parts of our state. So I am not without experience in the process and hands on development. Which is also why I feel the US is doing the wrong type of work in countries such as Iraq or Afghanistan, or the midwest for that matter. There is much more that can be done and it probably involves bringing issues such as taxation and healthcare to the local level so the resources gathered are spent effectively and more efficiently so you can take home more of your check...

I should probably state right now, that although I vote Democrat, I believe that most Dems are just as ignorant and evil as the NeoCon Leadership. Kerry and Dean are just examples of the crumbling "two" party system. I will certainly cry if Hillary actually makes a serious run for it. Just call me the next generation of the new party.

The environment needs help. Global warming, as much evidence as there is for either arguement, is occuring and it should concern everyone. I believe a much larger issue is the brown clouds that we all help to create. The health concerns with mercury or lead poisoning from coal power plants or exhaust from cars (which I do not drive) should be studied closely since the few studies that have been completed show a detrimental effect on humans, especially children in developmental stages. MTBEs have been found in breastmilk in women in every city in this country, 6.000 to 12.000 kids are affected by it every year in this country alone...can you imagine what it must be like in the cities of China or India or even New York?

The numbers I was quoting for Alaska's oil reserves are from the US DOE and USGS. To quote:
"To date, 15 billion barrels of oil have been produced from this area, and remaining reserves include 7 BBO of oil and 35 TCF of gas. USGS estimated there are 4 BBO of oil resources that remain to be discovered, most in the northern part of the assessment area." http://petrochemical.ihs.com/news-05Q2/usgs-alaska-oil-gas-assessment.jsp

Oil politics and geostrategy is my main passion and will be my study for graduate school. I pay very close attention to the worlds reserves and the political/military actions that follow resources. I believe that you're not familiar with the issue of Peak Oil. If you are, then you should take it to heart because it means the end of much of what we take for granted in this country. It also means that our national security depends on developing renewable grid energy as well as fuels from renewable sources (i.e. wood waste, agriculture waste, animal and human waste, captured gases from landfills...etc) because there is ample availability, but a reworking of our perception of fuel and energy must be completed.

As far as chemical weapons in Iraq. I believe that you're just following the MSM and not questioning the history of US involvement. During the Iran/Iraq war, we supported Saddam. It was proven, as you'll see in his trial, that he was using chemical weapons against not only Iran but also the Kurds. It is also widely know that these technologies came from western sources, primarily American.
Here is one link I just found quickly, there are plenty more if you just google it:
http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/kurds/alliance.html

I actually watch every one of our president's speaches, I read plenty of white house briefings and DoD reports/press conferences, and I must say, there has been NO mention of anything of the sort. Bombing critical infrastructure for human development is not the start (which you actually didn't deny). You go on to say that we're learning our lessons from supporting dictators, which contradicts your other post today, but the reality that we've supported dictators for many decades (so have the British, the French, the Dutch, and down the line, it's not unique) and we've sold enough arms around the world that it's finally come back to bite us. The problem is that we've just changed sides with Iraq and Afghanistan, and I believe that this causes more damage to US image. Will you deny that America's soft power is at an all time low because of our actions in the last decade (yes including the monger Clinton)? In fact, now as I write, I will tell you that I believe the mismanagement of our government and large economic interests began before Kennedy (just read Eisenhower's exit speech). You're right, we have spent billions, if not trillions of dollars supporting the Bad Guy, but guess what, it HASN'T STOPED! We still support anti-nationalist movements all over the world, and our private NGO donations (such as Soros and National Endowment for Democracy) have actually put money into countries to pressure them to overturn their governments into pro-US puppets. The idea of making peace through economic integration is a supperb idea, however, much of the economic interests of this country are controlled by the top 0.1% of the population, 250,000 people so. This is not economic justice and is furthering the economic divide that only hurts every peace process. When the military gets involved, such as Iraq, it only breeds hatred. It is obvious at our lack of punishment to the economic perpetrators that have cost Americans billions of dollars.

You did actually support the idea that "America's problems would be solved" by placing that stupid wannabe presidential speech in your blog, which is how I found you in the first place, that speech made it around.

Uggg...politics are great aren't they? I will leave it hear, although there is obviously much more to discuss - which I am willing to do. If anything it helps both of us articulate our positions to make them more effective...

Next time, place some links/facts to support your claims rather than calling me wrong without evidence. My information simply comes from hours of online research into many regional news sources and investigating which companies or groups are involved in those countries. I have read extensively on Central Asia and Geopolitical Strategy, so I feel that I have more than adequate knowledge. I understand you've lived through more, congratulations, however, do not underestimate the power of youth and the next generation actually dismissing the previous decades of mis involvement and truly making a change in the world...we're at a pinnicle of humanity, a transition to the next era, so be prepared to have your lifetime of notions questioned.

Although I disagree with your pessimistic assessment of the amount of oil reserves worldwide, I do agree with your implication that we must divorce our society from its dependency on oil.

I am a firm advocate of nuclear power. Would you agree that nuclear is the safest, cleanest, most prolific source of energy available to us today.

Oh, by the way...I'm traveling and don't have the time to research my answers. I'll do some blogging on these subjects when I get back to my main computer.

Nuclear, nuclear, nuclear. Honestly, I haven't quite decided where I stand on the whole issue. I completely agree that it is the "cleanest, most prolific source of energy". Safety is another issue. I am not wary of catastrophe at the plant or a terrorist strike or what not, but the waste scares me. The current design engineered for Yucca Mountain will contain the waste for 10,000 years, but the waste will actually last probably 100,000 years. I know these timetables are monumental compared to our lives, but the idea that this waste cannot be completely cleaned up raises my sixth sense. I believe there are other alternatives, but at this point, it will keep the heat on right?!?

The other issue that nuclear energy won't solve is our dependency on fuels as a flexible source of energy for transportation and rural energy systems. I would say that a combination of large-grid projects, such as nuclear, and small-scale energy development is the best solution. Transfering power over large distances to reach minimal people does not make sense for the production of energy, nor does it make economic sense. The only way to solve these problems is to make them economically viable.

Renewable fuels - biodiesel, biofuels from wood waste, Liquid Natural Gas from waste management and stranded wells, solar and wind - provide independent power generation and much needed skilled, rural employment.

One thing I would like to see is more attention paid towards completely alternative energy sources such as electromagnetic fields. Thomas Bearden has done much research on this, unfortunately he is considered a bit of a kook, however his theories are not new and are well documented. http://www.cheniere.org/

I am pessimistic about the world's oil resources because everything we know of for our standards of living relies on it, yet hardly anyone makes a serious case for changing our ways. As a result, all of our consuming and global economic structures rely on it which makes it a national strategic interest. This interest has made the US get involved in many regions for a resource that is reletively unnecessary. Much peace could prosper if we would stop humiliating poor regions for a material gain...

If you two are examples of the typical American today, I'd say we might as well just throw up our hands, pull out the white handkerchiefs and give the whole kit and kaboodle over to the Islamic terrorists.

My great grandfather was a slave owner. You know what? That doesn't bother me at all because he lived in a different time. His problems were different from mine and, bless his heart, he was good to his slaves. He was also a very prosperous farmer. I'm not ashamed of him but I wouldn't live like he did, either. The world has changed.

It's the same with the Bush family -- and the Kennedy family (who made their money selling bootlegged liquor during Prohibition -- a lot less respectable than being a banker). You don't judge people today by what their ancestors did.

You have strengthened my point concerning setting up dictators you know. Yes, the US made mistakes by helping to overthrow the Shah. Times change, as I said before. We LEARN from our mistakes. We were wrong and millions of innocent Iraqis died, murdered by Hussein. Now they are dying, trying to get their freedom. At least they recognize that in those deaths there is hope. There is no hope in being murdered by a dictator.

interesting that you read sarcsasm where I read anger! Interpretation is in the eye of the beholder -- we see what we want to see and hear what we want to hear.

And by the way, that quote you ascribe to President Bush and the RR (what is the RR, anyway -- railroad?) is not his or theirs but mine. I said that and I hope it's true, although there are a couple of South Americans who fit the fat dictator description pretty perfectly. And Mexico's Fox isn't all that much better.

I also have not heard sarcasm from President Bush, either, and I've listened closely to what he has said. I think, dear Robin, that the only sarcasm here is in your ear.

You obviously are not aware of the problems the NYC police have with UN diplomats. It's serious, it's irritating and it shouldn't be allowed.

And you HAVE to get in the Party Line about Guantanamo, do you? We've treated them much better than the Taliban and the insurgents have treated our people. They are issued free Korans and have decent food and shelter where they should have been thrown into holes and left to starve to death for decapitating journalists and prisoners.

How can you make a statement like "What has produced hatred or ill will is the recent Bush Adm and RR attitude..." ? Have you not been paying attention? 9/11 wasn't even the first time they attacked us! Those attacks have been going on for years. 9/11 was just the first time they attacked us on our own soil.

This is a war between extremist Muslims and everyone who isn't a Muslim. That's YOU. And me.

Fortunately we have some leaders like President Bush and others who are sincerely trying to protect us and to make the world safe for our children and grandchildren in SPITE of the propaganda and disinformation spread by the Democrats and "progressives."

Someday -- in 50 years or so -- you'll see that we are doing exactly what we need to do to continue our way of life.
